The sample economy for software

Build apps from other people's best parts. Pay them automatically.

Assemble a web app from community components. On deploy, 30% of net hosting revenue splits among the components you used — by platform-set weight, reconciled to the cent. Live, as you build. The producers get paid. So do you, on everything you publish.

The split

See where every dollar goes. Watch it reconcile.

Toggle the components above and the split recomputes. $29/mo becomes a ~$8.36 producer pool, divided by each component's platform-set weight. Every figure is live, and the bottom line always reconciles to the cent — because the meter runs the exact same math the payout engine does.

payout = (weight ÷ Σweights) × pool

“Usage” means being in a deployed, paying app — not per-render metering. The volume game is being in many apps. Only real, paid hosting funds the pool; free apps fund nothing.

How it works

Three steps from canvas to royalties.

01

Assemble

Drag stems onto the canvas. Each carries a platform-set weight — un-inflatable, by construction.

02

Deploy

One click ships a live app on Cloudflare. The weights freeze into the deploy record, so payouts are deterministic.

03

The split runs

Each paid invoice funds a 30% pool, split by frozen weight into authors' ledgers. “You earned $X this cycle.”

Pricing

90% off at launch. The producers still get paid full.

We eat the discount, the producers don't. Royalties are computed on the full sticker price — authors are paid as if you paid full freight. The discount is our customer-acquisition cost, not theirs.

Launch pricing holds until the platform reaches ≥150 community components and ~1,000 paying apps, then steps toward full price — published and prospective only.

For producers

Author a stem once. Earn every time it ships.

Publish a component. It earns a recurring royalty in every paying app it lands in — split fairly, reconciled to the cent, no metering games. The more tracks you're on, the more you make. Founding authors get cash bounties and guaranteed minimums while the fleet grows.
